Coca-Cola Australia – $3M SOC Transformation
At Trustwave, I led the enterprise sales and solution design for a circa $3M Coca-Cola Australia SOC transformation. I presented to senior customer leadership and worked with the Optus sales team across the RFx response, proposal development, pricing strategy, and commercial and legal negotiations.
The solution incorporated Splunk SIEM Design, Incident Response, Digital Forensics Retainer, SOC Maturity, and SOC Automation consulting services.
Snowy Hydro – circa $3M SIEM/SOC Services
At Trustwave, led the solution design and presales engagement for a circa $3M Snowy Hydro SIEM/SOC services engagement. This included SIEM architecture, SOC service sizing and estimation, proposal development, and multiple intensive customer workshops.
Boral – circa $5M MDR Services
At Trustwave, I led the enterprise sale and solution design for an MDR services engagement for Boral using LogRhythm. My responsibilities included SOC service estimation, SIEM architecture, solution design, and deployment planning.
Vodafone Australia – AWS Threat Detection and SOC Integration
At OpenText (ArcSight SME), I Solution designed a high-level AWS threat detection and SOC integration architecture for Vodafone Australia’s SOC operations. The architecture leveraged the existing ArcSight SIEM, SmartConnectors, and mature SOC capability to monitor workloads migrating from on-premises data centres to AWS while minimising the AWS tenant footprint.

The design integrated with existing NTT and AWS security monitoring capabilities and included AWS CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, SNS, and Security Hub.
$5.2M IaaS Win Against AWS
At Logicals, As Lead Presales Solution Architect, I conducted a three-hour live demonstration workshop and authored the Service Proposal that contributed to securing a $5.2M IaaS deal against AWS. Customer feedback identified the live demonstration and Proposal as instrumental in the successful outcome.

Universities Admissions Centre – $1.6M Active/Active Data Centre Architecture
At Logicalis, I led the enterprise sale and solution design for a $1.6M active/active data centre architecture for the Universities Admissions Centre. The solution connected two data centres through AARNet using Layer 2 stretched VLANs and incorporated VMware, Cisco UCS, vSpec EMC Storage, Data Domain, and Commvault.
My responsibilities included solution architecture, RFPIxresponse customer workshops, service estimation, proposal development, and hardware Bill of Materials development.
Westpac Institutional Banking – Active/Active Citrix and Zero Trust Architecture
At Westpac, I designed and implemented a multi-site active/active data centre and Citrix architecture spanning Sydney, Singapore, and Hong Kong, with two data centres in each location.
The architecture incorporated VMware vSphere, Windows Server, Active Directory, Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop and NetScaler to provide secure and resilient application and desktop delivery across institutional banking environments. I also led the remote deployment of IBM enterprise servers and coordinated infrastructure installation across secure international data centres. The broader infrastructure architecture incorporated physical servers, Juniper switching, VMware, Windows Server/SQL, Citrix, and NetScaler, with Layer 2 stretched VLANs providing resilient active/active operations and workload failover between data centres.
Hyperconverged Infrastructure
At Logicalis, I was invited by the Marketing Director to present at a CTO Round Table attended by approximately 10 CTOs from some of Australia’s largest companies.
At the time, the computer and storage industry was transitioning toward Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI). I developed and presented the visually stunning presentation deck to explain the technology, market transition, and business value of HCI.
During the session, one of the CTOs asked a number of detailed and challenging questions. The following week, that CTO/organisation purchased a three-node Nutanix cluster worth around $500,000 AUD I also followed the internal vendor onboarding and approval process to introduce Nutanix into Logicalis, which at the time had a strong focus on EMC and NetApp.
