Vibe Coding a Pivot Table

Figure 1: Cringe AI Image!

I’ve been using Excel to create an expense report. I export or copy and paste my credit card data into Excel, sanitize it, add categories, and then import it into a Pivot Table to analyze all our expenses. I switched to Google Sheets to share it with my wife but eventually hit its limits. I tried using Google Looker but couldn’t figure out how to sort dates by month.

So, now just update the input.csv with the latest Credit Card export and shared a link on my NAS which is a HTML page with my wife and as it is using BootStrap, Google Material, Tailwinds and Responsive, it is Mobile Phone Compatible. Don’t need Excel, Google, or Looker anymore. Just to sanitise the data, But, I’ll try and update this to automatically sanitise the raw export from the bank statement. The next step is to automatically create a TAX Return!! YOLO. This all took me less than a Hour to upload and write this blog.

So, I vibe coded my own Pivot Table.

Here are the results from Claude, ChatGPT, and DeepSeek: ChatGPT had the best UI but errors in the SUM calculations; DeepSeek performed better, and Claude worked perfectly on the first try.

I also made a Savings account, just export you main Savings account and upload to – https://detectx.com.au/apps/savings/

Next step is to build something similar for Tax
